In this episode we talk with Anthony Halcyon a Senior Environmental /Member of the Explorers Club (you need to learn about this) and a self published fiction writer. Anthony and I talk about multiple issues around water and soil and the ocean and desalination and much more. Anthony is most certainly a well trained and highly skilled scientist he is also a Storyteller. That makes for an excellent conversation. This is Anthony's technical side: I am a passionate scientist and explorer with a master's degree in Soil and Water Science, actively working at the intersection of water conservation, environmental stewardship, and innovative research. I also have experience in many areas of laboratory analysis through the County's Environmental Lab, such as microbiology, suspended and volatized solids, and Biological Oxygen Demand testing. And this is his story teller, passionate creative side: Additionally, I have a deep passion for storytelling, writing science fiction and fantasy that explores the unknown and challenges the boundaries of human potential. I am always looking for the next challenge to further develop and consider myself a lifelong pursuer of knowledge. This is Episode 3 of The Power of Water featuring my childhood friend Cathleen who left land locked Colorado to make a life for herself near water.
We talk about the health of the ocean, kelp fields and even her experience with the star of the movie (the whale) Keiko. That is a great discussion as well.
She has had a passion for water for most of her life and found her way back.
