The Power of Water

The power of water is breathtaking.  

It can give life, it can take life.

It can feed the world.

It can flood the fields.

But one thing is certain.

Without it we fail.

And failure is not an option.

The images below were taken by my brother, Michael Jensen.  He is a wildly talented photographer and he has traveled the world for almost a decade, it would be easier to name where he has not been and what he has not done yet.  He has had the opportunity to photograph places all over the world, beautiful landscapes, rice fields in China, villages in Italy and people and their cultures. He also has a mean set of feral cat pictures, his husband is one of most dedicated fans of felines you are likely to encounter.  

He finds the beauty in all the places he visits. And let it be known that he puts in the work to capture these images that he shares with the world, he is up at very early hours and gets him in the places that enable his success.

And for me, his eye for water in so many of its forms reaches me on many levels.

While vividblue.org exists to talk about all issues water, many of which are tough conversations, I would be remiss to ignore the beauty and power of water.  I will not let this be only a place of scary tough conversations and stark realities.  That is why I chose a powerful strong domain name with a positive feel and I will post things from the worst to the best.

So that is why I asked my brother to give me some of his best water pictures.  And he did not disappoint.

I am lending my voice and (limited) creativity to the millions of voices fighting and working to address these issues.  I will highlight as many as I can, keep spreading information and positivity and suggest solutions.
